Escallonia Rubra Macrontha

Escallonia Rubra Macrontha is a neat evergreen shrub with a long flowering period which makes it an ideal hedging plant. Deep pink, bell-shaped flowers appear from early summer to early autumn with year-round dark green glossy leaves. Plant in a moist, well drained soil, in sun or partial shade. It is a great hedging plant, especially on windy coastal sites as it can take the harsh coastal winds. It grows on average 20-40 cm a year.
